About us

Shivapuri Heights Cottage opened in 2005 and was designed as a place to offer a respite from the ever growing Kathmandu. We offer travelers the opportunity to experience the real Nepal and return home having had a more in-depth contact with the local people and culture than perhaps they might have had if they stayed in a regular hotel.

The Nepali and British resident owners look forward to welcoming you and offer you the opportunity to observe and participate in local ceremonies and customs.

Neeru is from an area of East Nepal and traveled extensively when she was an air-hostess with Royal Nepal Airlines. Her interests are cooking and gardening and she looks forward to sharing some of her Nepalese recipe secrets with you.
